Goal of The Project: To establish Mosaic Training Center for historical and cultural heritage of Nizip and its around to be known and carried to next generation. Project Process : 12 months Owners/ Partners and Ownership Rate: Nizip Chamber of Commerce % 100 Mosaic Traning Center will be built under Nizip Chamber of Commerce. Zeugma Antique City which has a 2000 yeary history is in Nizip County borders. Having high value in terms of art, mosaics in Zeugma has a special place among mosaics of the Antique Period. Its aim is to introduce and teach this heritage and by these ways save it for next generations. The staff consists of experts on mosaics and will provide mosaics training for volunteers between 15-55 years old whom will be chosen according to some criterions. The training which involves 30 volunteers is in two periods, each period involves 15 volunteers. The curriculum of the course consists of mosaic manufacturing, design, practising, teaching the marketing tecniques, making new marketing strategies and doing archology,geology trainings based on mosaics. Along with saving the heritage by introducing and teaching mosaics art which is historical and cultural heritage of the region to the next generation, some activities will be done aming to attract the attention of foreign, domestic tourists and professionals in tourism sector, to improve the knowledge of Nizip folk about the cultural heritage, to take attention to mosaic art which is one pattern of Nizip culture, to make differences in tourism sector. After the project, Zeugma Antique City will make a contribution to Nizip tourism which has been already an attractive tourism center with mosaic manufacturing and such tarinings. It will help Nizip and its around tourism to revive itself and the cultural heritage to be taken care of. It is expected that the revived tourism movement and the introductory writings on Nizip in terms of tourism in national and local press will take much more attention of foreign and domestic tourists, therefore there will be groups for food and communication services which will increase employment in these sectors; as a result the unemployment rate will decrease in the region. The required materials for mosaic manufacturing will make the sale of its sellers increase so it will be reflected upon the employment positively. The manufactured and sold in Nizip Mosaic Training Center mosaics works will make Nizip a brand in mosaics with their qualities.
